THIRD 24-25 NEW TEAM HAS JOINED

The NCBBA is excited to announce that Hofstra University is the third official team to join the NCBBA-M division for the 2024-2025 season. They take advantage of the Early New Team Registration Fee. Welcome Pride.

 

 

 

SELECTION MONDAY!

Congratulations to UNC-Charlotte and Binghamton-White on earning at-large bids to the 2024 NCBBA-M National Championship Tournament.  They will join…

  • James Madison University (Mid-Atlantic Region Champions)
  • University of Miami (South Atlantic Region Champions)
  • University of Notre Dame (Great Lakes Region Champions)
  • Penn State University (North Atlantic Region Champions)
  • Northeastern University (New England Region Champions)
  • UCLA (Pacific Region Champions)

The field is set and the Official 2024 NCBBA-M National Championship Tournament Bracket will be released tomorrow.

NORTHEASTERN CONTINUES STREAK AT #1 INTO THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

Northeastern remains on top for the 9th straight week in the Tytan Athletics NCBBA-M Week 24 Top 20 Poll. They received 12 of the 13 First Place votes. With Penn State receiving 1 vote.

James Madison moves to #2, UCLA is now #3,  Penn State leaps to #4, and Miami jumps to #5 to round out the top-5 respectively while 4 new teams enters the Top 20. There was a lot of movement in the Top 20 after Regionals weekend comes to an end.

Stay tuned…the Week 26 Tytan Athletics NCBBA-M Top 20 Poll will be released on April 25th after the results of the 2024 National Championship Tournament!

SECOND 24-25 NEW TEAM HAS JOINED

The NCBBA is excited to announce that Bowling Green State is the second official team to join the NCBBA-M division for the 2024-2025 season. They are the first to take advantage of the Early New Team Registration Fee. Welcome Falcons.

 

 

6 TICKETS PUNCHED; 2 AT-LARGE TO GO

University of Miami, UCLA, Northeastern, James Madison, Penn State, and Notre Dame are the 6 automatic qualifiers to the NCBBA-M National Championship Tournament after winning their respective regional.

#2 seed Miami handles #1 UNC-Charlotte 78-65 in a 13 point win, #1 UCLA takes care of #2 Stanford by a score of 89-57, #1 Northeastern wins 81-67 over #3 Albany, #1 James Madison takes down #6 Rowan by a score of 85-72, #1 Penn State wins a close game against #2 Binghamton-White by a score of 85-81, and #4 Notre Dame defeating #7 WUSTL by a score of 86-68.

The final 2 spots will be selected via At-Large Bids.  Those selections will be made later this evening, so be sure to look out!

DAY 1 OF 2024 REGIONALS HAS COME TO AN END

There was a lot of action today across the country with teams fighting for their spot in the 2024 National Championship Tournament.

We had the University of Miami winning the South Atlantic Regional Tournament as the 1st team to clinch a spot in the National Championship. They beat a fellow Top 20 team in UNC-Charlotte by a score of 78-65. The defending National Champions, UCLA, have also punched their ticket for the 2nd season in a row. They defeated a tough Stanford team in the Championship game by a score of 89-57

The other 4 Regional Champions will be crowned tomorrow!

The NCBBA-M would like to congratulate the following teams on earning a berth into the post-season regional tournaments.

THE STREAK AT #1 CONTINUES INTO THE POST SEASON

Northeastern remains on top for the 8th straight week in the Tytan Athletics NCBBA-M Week 22 Top 20 Poll. They received 9 of the 13 First Place votes. While Xavier received 3 and DePaul received 1.

Xavier stays at #2, James Madison jumps to #3,  UCLA leaps to #4, and Boston College drops to #5 to round out the top-5 respectively while 1 new team enters the Top 20.
