The Pirates emerged victorious 115-110 against the Robert Morris on Saturday on the strength of Joe Bryant, who scored 37 points.
The Pirates put points on the board early, claiming a 57-45 lead at the half.
Bryant shot well from the field, making 68% (13-for-19) of shots attempted as well as 56% (5-for-9) of threes attempted. He also was successful from the line, making 100% (6-for-6) of free throws attempted.
Four other players also scored in the double digits for the Pirates. Tyler Nicholson contributed 22 points, DeAngelo Hopkins racked up 21 points and Wayne McDonald added 10 points. Jeremy Brown-Parker hit two three-pointers and scored 11 points total. Also contributing for the Pirates were Torez Fisher (9 points, 1 rebound) and Antione Simon (3 points, 6 rebounds). Nicholson was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up nine rebounds.
The Pirates finished the game with 50 rebounds (15 offensive/35 defensive).
