In a nail biter the Mountaineers fall short of the Wildcats

Although Dante Montique put 26 points on the scoreboard, the Mountaineers fell to the Kentucky Wildcats 79-76.

In an aggressive showing, the Mountaineers racked up 22 fouls in total.

Montique shot well from the field, making 53% (10-for-19) of shots attempted as well as 50% (6-for-12) of threes attempted.                             

Two other players also scored in the double digits for the MountaineersFletcher Coffman scored 13 points and Drew Fraser racked up 10 points. Also chipping in for the Mountaineers were Tyler Williams (8 points, 4 rebounds), Brandon Ingram (8 points, 7 rebounds), Brandon Morris (4 points, 3 rebounds), Patrick Reilly (3 points, 4 rebounds) and Dante Oden (3 points).

The Mountaineers finished the game with 46 rebounds (12 offensive/34 defensive).
