25-26 NEW TEAMS

The NCBBA is excited to announce that Carnegie Mellon University and University of Tennessee are the 2nd and 3rd official new teams to join the NCBBA-M division for the 2025-2026 season. Welcome Tartans and Volunteers.

NO SURPRISE AT #1

The 2025 National Champion UCLA Bruins are #1 in the 24-25 NCBBA-M Tytan Athletics Final Top 20 Poll. UCLA received all 10 First Place votes.

The runner ups, James Madison, move to #2, Ohio State drops to #3 after being #1 all season and losing a tough one to James Madison in the semi-finals, UNC-Chapel Hill finishes at #4, and Northeastern at #5 to round out the top-5 respectively.

The rest of the Top 20 remained very similar with only a few small changes.

Stay tuned… All Region and then All American teams will be released in May. While the next Top 20 poll will be the 25-26 Preseason Poll.

BRUINS WIN 2ND TITLE IN 3 SEASONS; GARNETT 2X MVP

The #2 UCLA Bruins are your 2025 National Champions once again! They win their 2nd title in 3 years. Bruins get their revenge from last season defeating James Madison by a score of 61-51. Garnett earns his 2nd MVP as he averaged 21ppg, 17rpg, 1ast, 1.5stl, and 2blks.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IS SET!

In game 5 of the tournament, #2 UCLA defeats #3 North Carolina by a score of 77-45. UCLA now enters their 3rd straight National Championship game appearance in the first 3 seasons as a member of the NCBBA. The won the National Championship their very first season (2023) by defeating James Madison. Last season (2024), or the season after they won it all, they lost to James Madison in the Title game. They now have an opportunity to play James Madison in the title game for the 3rd straight season. Avenging their loss from last season.

In game 6 of the tournament, #4 James Madison takes down #1 Ohio State by a score of 69-58. James Madison finished the regular season as the Mid-Atlantic South Conference Runner Ups. Won the Mid-Atlantic Regional to earn their spot back in the National Championship Tournament. James Madison returns to the Championship game for a third straight season and will have the chance to go back-to-back.

The stage set for another showdown between UCLA and James Madison. Will James Madison go back-to-back or will UCLA get their revenge and win their 2nd title in 3 seasons?!

DAY 1 HAS CONCLUDED; FINAL 4 IS SET

In game 3, #2 UCLA defeats #7 Notre Dame by a score of 79-64. #2 UCLA moves on to face #3 North Carolina today at 2:30pm to see who will play for the 2025 National Championship game tomorrow at 1pm.

In game 4, #1 Ohio State takes down a tough #8 Boston College team by a score of 95-81. #1 Ohio State moves on to face the 2024 defending National Champions #4 James Madison today at 7:30pm. The winner will play in the National Championship game tomorrow at 1pm.

RESULTS AFTER GAME 2

In the first game of the day between the 2024 defending National Champions and current #4 James Madison takes down #5 Northeastern by a score of 62-59. They will move on to play the winner of our night game between Ohio State and Boston College.

In game 2, #3 North Carolina beats #6 Fairfield 91-79 to move on to the semi-finals and will play the winner of our third game between #2 UCLA and #7 Notre Dame.

BUCKEYES STILL #1; 8TH STRAIGHT POLL ON TOP

Ohio State stays #1 in the 24-25 NCBBA-M Tytan Athletics Week 23 Top 20 Poll. Ohio State received all 10 First Place votes.

UCLA moves up to #2, UNC-Chapel Hill up to #3, James Madison to #4, and Northeastern at #5 to round out the top-5 respectively.

The rest of the Top 20 got shaken up as 2 new teams enter after Regional weekend has ended.
