23-24 NEW TEAMS!

The NCBBA is excited to announce that Bate’s College has officially joined the NCBBA-M division for the 2023-2024 season. Welcome Bobcats!

Bate’s College is the 3rd new team to join the NCBBA-M for the 23-24 Season.

THERE IS A NEW #1; WEEK 23 TYTAN ATHLETICS TOP 20

UCLA takes over the #1 from USC-Cardinal after hitting a game winning shot in the final seconds of the Pacific Regional. The final score was 72-70.

Penn State moves up to the #2 after defeating Albany in the North Atlantic Regional. USC-Cardinal has moved down to the #3. UConn is in the #4 after hitting a buzzer beating lay up to down Boston College in the New England Regional. Boston College sits right behind UConn at #5.

James Madison jumps all the way to #13 after defeating Virginia Tech in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship.

Plenty of other shake ups in the Top 20 this week after the results from the Regional Tournaments. 4 new teams enter. Check out the Week 23 Tytan Athletics Top 20 here!

  • Florida State University (South Atlantic Region Champions)
  • Xavier University (Great Lakes Region Champions)
  • Penn State University (North Atlantic Region Champions)
  • UConn (New England Region Champions)
  • UCLA (Pacific Region Champions)

The field is set and the Official 2023 NCBBA-M National Championship Tournament Bracket will be released tomorrow.

6 TICKETS PUNCHED; 2 AT-LARGE TO GO

Penn State University, University of Connecticut, Xavier University, James Madison University, Florida State University, and UCLA are the 6 automatic qualifiers to the NCBBA-M National Championship Tournament after winning their respective regional.

#1 seeded Penn State defeated #7 Albany 83-74 to claim the North Atlantic Regional Championship. #5 seeded UConn wins by a buzzer beating lay up over #3 seeded Boston College in an absolute thriller 65-64 to win the New England Regional Championship, #6 seeded James Madison shocks #1 Virginia Tech in a 91-87 victory to claim the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship, #1 Florida State beat #2 Coastal Carolina 83-74 earn the South Atlantic Regional Champion, #2 Xavier knocks off the #1 Central Michigan in a 92-84 win to claim the Great Lakes Regional Champion, and #1 UCLA hits a last second shot to beat USC-Cardinal 72-70 to earn their first Pacific Regional Champion.

The final 2 spots will be selected via At-Large Bids.  Those selections will be made later this evening, so be sure to look out!
