VERMONT TAKES HOME HAPPY VALLEY FALL TIP-OFF

The Vermont Catamounts defeated Penn State University 64-51 to capture the 2021 Happy Valley Fall Tip-Off Championship.  It was a long day for both teams as it was their 3rd game of the day, but Vermont had just enough gas to defeat the Nittany Lions who came into the game with an unblemished record of 5-0.

Vermont came into the single elimination portion of the tournament as the #5 seed, finishing 2nd in their pool sporting a 2-1 pool play record.  The took down Northeastern in the quarterfinals and Virginia in the semi-finals to earn their spot in the championship game.  It was a back and forth game for the majority but Vermont pulled away in the final minutes to capture the championship.

The NCBBA-M would like to thank all that participated and to the Happy Valley Adventures Bureau and the Nittany Valley Sports Centre!  A total of 31 games were played in less than 48 hours and a grand time was had by all.
