2022 NCBBA National Championship History

Highmark Events Center – Gannon University Campus -Erie, PA – April 22nd – 24th, 2022

2022 was another great year for the NCBBA!  For the 1st year, Erie, PA proved to be a fantastic home for the National Championship Tournament.  As in year’s past, eight NCBBA teams advanced to the National Championship which took place Friday, April 22nd through Sunday, April 24th.  The single elimination, three-day tournament ultimately determined the 2022 National Champion, Purdue University. Not only was a National Champion crowned, but on Saturday, April 21st, the Tournament also featured the 6th annual NCBBA Skills Competition and All Star Game.

 

Participants: Purdue University, Radford University, Towson University, Bryant University, East Carolina University, Boston College, Penn State, Notre Dame 

Championship: Notre Dame 48 vs. Purdue 53

Champions: Purdue

Tournament MVP: Emerson Halbleib

Skills / All Star Competition

On Saturday April 23rd, the NCBBA hosted the 6th annual NCBBA Skills Competition.  Contestants from around the NCBBA competed in events such as a Three Point Competition, the NCBBA Obstacle Course, a Slam Dunk Competition and the newly added Shooter’s Chaos.  Following the Skills Competition, the 6th annual NCBBA All Star Game took place featuring participants from the NCBBA National Championship Tournament field.
