Regional Playoffs

2018 NCBBA Post-Season Format

The current format of the NCBBA Post-Season was decided upon by the member teams of the NCBBA via the NCBBA Annual League Meeting.

New for 2018:  The regional playoffs have been modified from the previous format (2 teams best of 3 tournament) to the new 4 team single elimination tournament format as per NCBBA Rule 2.01.0.  The 3 Regions which have been split into 3 directional conferences (New England, Mid-Atlantic,  and Southern Pacific) will feature each directional conference champion plus an at large bid selection chosen by the NCBBA from the 2nd place finishers.  The 4 Regions which have been split into 2 directional conferences (North Atlantic, South Atlantic, Great Lakes, and Mid America) will feature each directional conference champion plus each directional conference runner up.

The 7 Regional Championships will take place during week 21 of the NCBBA Season and will be hosted by the directional conference winner that is ranked higher in the Rawlings NCBBA Top 20 Poll at that time.  The winners of the Regional Championships will automatically earn a spot in the 2018 NCBBA National Championship Tournament.

-Did the team finish in at least 2nd place in their conference?

-How did the team perform against their conference or regional champion?

-Is the team on probation?

-Has the team forfeited any games?
