The New England Region, the North Atlantic Region, the Great Lakes Region, the Mid-Atlantic, and now the South Atlantic all are made up of 4 conferences. These Regional’s will feature a total of 8 Teams, which will be the top 2 teams from each conference (conference winner and conference runner-up). The Pacific Region is now made up of 3 total conferences. This Regional will feature a total of 4 Teams, which will be each Conference Winner and an At-Large Bid. All Regional Tournaments are single elimination.
Each of the 6 Regional Tournament Winners will automatically qualify for the National Championship Tournament. The final two spots will be selected via an at-large bid.

NCBBA-M National Championship Tournament At-Large Bids
With 6 teams automatically qualifying for the 2027 NCBBA-M National Championship Tournament, the final two teams of the field of 8 will be selected as an At-Large Bid by the NCBBA-M. Any team selected to receive an At-Large Bid is chosen at the NCBBA’s discretion. Factors taken into account by the NCBBA when selecting an At-Large Bid consist of but are not limited to:
-How did the team perform at their respective Regional Tournament?
-How did the team perform against their conference or regional champion?
-Is the team on probation?
-Has the team forfeited any games?
Any questions on the format of the NCBBA post-season should be directed to the Vice President of Basketball Operations Matt Hazi @ 412-321-8440 ext. 103 or [email protected].
