NCBBA-M CANCELS SPRING 2021 SEASON
The NCBBA-M has officially cancelled the spring 2021 season. The league appreciates the patience of its member teams as it worked through this process of trying to host a spring 2021 men’s basketball season. Unfortunately, there are only 6 teams in the NCBBA-M league that have reported that they are allowed to compete this spring. Thus, given these numbers it was determined to be impossible for the NCBBA-M to successfully host a spring 2021 men’s basketball season. Additionally, at this point on the calendar, waiting any longer for more teams to get cleared to compete will not leave sufficient time for the league to release a schedule and complete a full regular season during this semester.
The NCBBA-M will be shifting its focus towards a reboot for the 2021-2022 school year. League Representatives will be in touch in early March with steps towards planning for next season including registering your team, updating team contacts, and assigning a date for the annual NCBBA-M online league meeting. In the meantime we encourage any teams that are allowed to compete this spring to schedule exhibition games amongst each other as they see fit. Should your team need contact information for any of the teams allowed to play, please reach out to NCBBA-M League Representatives.
Lastly, the NCBBA-M league is considering hosting an end of the year invitational tournament for teams that are eligible to compete. This event would most likely take place on April 16-18. Should your team be cleared to compete by April 1st and be interested in participating, please email VP of Men’s Basketball Operations, Christian Smith at [email protected].
FEATURED TEAM OF THE WEEK
NCBBA-M | Great Lakes Region | South Conference

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Write-up: Heck of a season! Ending our first NCBBA season with a record of 14-4 we are eager to get back out there on the court in the upcoming year. We are looking to advance our club basketball program and make our way to the National Championship title in 2022. Unfortunately we will not be able to participate due to COVID in this year’s Spring season, but we are ready for the Fall to start back up with fresh faces. We’ve lost a few starters that were seniors, but we have always been known to have players that come off the bench that are ready to produce. We are ready to make our mark this upcoming season.
Interesting/Fun facts: Our home games get LIVE and the parents and student body love coming out to watch! We’re ready to make some NOISE! Finished our first season 14-4.

20-21 NCBBA-M SEASON TO BE SPRING-ONLY
The NCBBA-M has surveyed the member teams regarding the possibility of playing fall conference games due to COVID-19 restrictions. We have heard from just under 90% of the NCBBA-M membership and only 4 teams have reported that they are allowed to compete this fall in some capacity. Given this information, we will be moving forward with the plan of the 20-21 NCBBA-M season being spring-only. That being said, we are going to be delaying the scheduling of the spring-only conference games till late fall semester. We will be reaching out to our teams again in late October to reevaluate everyone’s status regarding spring competition with the goal of releasing the spring schedules by the end of November. This goal may change based upon the results of our October evaluations.
During this time we will continue to recruit new teams to join the NCBBA-M for spring participation as we have had several teams interested in joining but delayed their registration as they awaited to find out if they would be allowed to compete during the fall semester.
