Attention Club Basketball Enthusiasts,
The ball has been tipped, threes have been drained, dunks have been slammed, and underdogs have delivered upsets. That’s right; the 2016 NCBBA season is well underway. While the teams are on the home stretch of their conference run towards the NCBBA National Championship, the teams aren’t the only ones who have hoops fever. The NCBBA staff has been making all the necessary preparations to host this upcoming National Championship Tournament and growing the NCBBA for an even bigger and better future.
Now it is time to look to the future of our growing league. This letter is to serve as a formal invitation to the 3rd annual meeting of the National Club Basketball Association. We are inviting up to three representatives from all current and future NCBBA member teams to attend this meeting and speak on your teams’ behalf. We recommend that at least two of the three representatives be student leaders. The meeting will provide an opportunity for everyone in attendance to network with the leaders of other club basketball organizations, learn more about the history of CollClubSports and future of the NCBBA, ask questions, and voice your opinions on the operation of the league. The annual league meeting is your opportunity to learn about the latest Hot Stove happenings around the league, and to provide your much-needed input to assure that the league is headed in the right direction. Be sure that your team is not left out of these important discussions.
The first portion of the meeting will be focused on reviewing the 2015-2016 NCBBA Season. We plan to discuss the positives and negatives of our 3rd season and where improvements can be made. The next segment will be focused on the 2016-2017 Season, specifically regarding league membership growth and the all important future plans for the National Championship Tournament and upcoming expansion of the Regional Championship Playoffs. The CollClubSports Marketing Department will then present all the fundraising/sponsorship benefits currently available to NCBBA member teams. Finally, we’ll get in to the all important discussion of the NCBBA rule book. We’ll look at the rules as they currently are laid out and discuss what needs to be added, deleted, or amended. This is a very important part of the meeting as this is your team’s opportunity to have your opinions heard and your vote counted as it is always our goal to build the league in the best interests of our member teams. Of course throughout the meeting, you will also have the opportunity to ask any questions that you might have, and to bring up any issues that you feel need to be addressed.
This year’s meeting will be held on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 at 9:30 am in the classroom of La Roche College’s Kerr Fitness Center (9000 Babcock Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237), the host venue of the 2016 NCBBA National Championship Tournament. Following the meeting, all in attendance are invited to join the NCBBA staff for the continuation of the National Championship Tournament with the NCBBA Skills Competition and National Championship Game taking place on Sunday.
